Some of you will have seen the ads for Coco Before Chanel on this website (currently on at the Penthouse Cinema here in Wellington), on the eve of its release in New York and Los Angeles. But in the real world of Chanel, we can show the below video featuring Lily Allen, the face of the brand’s Coco Cocoon line of bags.
Allen is a regular customer, according to Chanel, and the line has a “luxury sportswear” feel that its founder favoured. With the attention on Chanel’s past, the company has an easier job to do in promoting anything tied to its history at the moment.
The Coco Cocoon range hits boutiques on October 3, with styles including a shopping bag, bowling bag, suit bag and a trolley bag, in fabrications of nylon or lambskin. Colour options are black, beige, chocolate, burgundy, taupe, grey, gold and red.
