Girard-Perregaux has announced a limited-edition (to 33 pieces) watch, the Biaxial Tourbillon, in white gold.
Inspired by an 1860s’ pocket watch created by Constant Girard-Perregaux, which won a first-class prize from the Neuchâtel Observatory, the new model features a cage that rotates on two axes (right). The manufacturer says this ensures ‘excellent rate precision.’ The watch is characterized by its two-gold bridge face, a design feature that pays homage to the three nickel bridges of the 1860s’ watch.
