The Getty Images Gallery is a small gallery just off Oxford Street in London. Although I say small, this in no way refers to the images that it contains within. Getty’s reputation alone was most likely why, despite the dark, rainy night, it seemed most of the several hundred invited guests all came to its latest exhibition, Love from London.
The images on display are of major film stars on set or relaxing in London’s major sites and places of interest.
Certainly there is something enigmatic about seeing these stills and casual shots of the classic film stars like Lee Marvin, Audrey Hepburn and even younger versions of Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.
This exhibition is on until October 9 at the Getty Images Gallery, 46 Eastcastle Street, London W1W and is well worth the time to take in. Try for earlier in the day when it may be more quiet and allow time to really take in each photograph.—Douglas Rimington
