As we begin putting up more catwalk images of London Fashion Week taken by the talented Doug Rimington, fashion editor Sopheak Seng has been snapping a few casual ones from New Zealand Fashion Week. (Janet Liu’s photographs from this event will be filed afterwards.)
Starfish opened New Zealand Fashion Week with an ethical-fashion show, which has received plenty of acclaim. Certainly from us—since Starfish’s Laurie Foon and we have been equally passionate about sustainable style for a long time.
We were delighted to learn that other companies wanted to congratulate Starfish, too, and received this news from Brigid Hardy at BEE: the company has released a limited-edition, environmentally friendly fabric wash to commemorate the brand’s autumn–winter 2011 collection.
Hardy wrote, ‘Starfish and B_E_E are soulmates who share the belief that beautiful things can make life better and look after the world. That’s something women everywhere make happen [every day]. And we think we deserve to look gorgeous doing it.’
