The MAC Aids Fund has announced that NZ$1 million has been raised in New Zealand alone, representing 30,000 Viva Glam lip products sold in the last 11 years.
MAC has donated to the Positive Women’s Digital Storytelling, Body Positive’s Rapid HIV Testing campaign, Positive Women’s Destigmatization Campaign, and the establishment of the INA HIV and Aids Foundation.
On November 30, MAC hosted a luncheon at Body Positive and Positive Women in Auckland, with MAC make-up artists serving lunch to guests. Other fund-raising events are expected to take place around World Aids Day, December 1.
The current faces of the MAC Aids Fund are Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga.
