Set amid digitally enhanced tropical-like foliage at London’s Syon Park, Kate Moss, the new face for the Vogue Eyewear spring–summer 2011 collection, pouts and poses for photographer Mario Testino.
This is her first complete eyewear collection and she succeeds fellow models Gisèle Bündchen and Daria Werbowy. Kate took the opportunity to choose from the collection six pairs of her favourite sunglasses to feature in the campaign, which are now aptly named Kate’s Selects.
There was a vast selection of shapes, screen prints and ’80s-inspired colours for Kate to choose from in the collection, including topaz and poppy, and, of course, in true Moss style, classic black and tortoiseshell.
With fierce red lipstick plastered to her pout, she smoulders in over-sized retro, tortoiseshell sunglasses, featuring a gold double tubular temple detail which adds that final touch of elegance. While in a pair of understated classical optical frames, displaying a very subtle metal design feature on the outer temple, she nonchalantly exudes sophistication, everything that this brand stands for.—Vicki Matias
