‘Live passionately, but do it safely’ is the slogan behind Lady Gaga’s gorgeous new shades of Lipstick and Lipglass for MAC Viva Glam.
   Gaga has just recently been signed on for a second year in a row to be the 2011 face for MAC’s Viva Glam fundraising effort, which has been going since 1994 and raised over $190 million for the MAC Aids Fund, which aims to denounce stigmas and spread awareness of the disease, as well as to provide assistance and resources for patients suffering from it.
   The warm beige lipstick will retail for around NZ$40, while the neutral pink beige Lipglass will be $38. Every cent from sales of these products goes towards the MAC Aids Fund.
   Last week, Gaga appeared on Good Morning America wearing a nude-coloured Latex outfit, said to resemble a condom, as she was there to promote safe sex. But in the images for MAC shot by Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti, she appears more toned down and demure. Clutching to strands of pearls and diamonds, platinum blonde curls falling around her face, and soft light creating a halo-like effect, she possesses an ethereal quality.—Vicki Matias
