Colour is in this season. New Zealand label, Storm, is no exception. Starting in spring with gentle, fresh neutrals and embellishments that reflect the sparkle of new life in springtime and leading into a crescendo of vibrant reds, sky blues, sunshine yellows and coral in summer, this season at Storm promises to be an exceptional one.
Exclusive prints by international artists combine with easy, fun and versatile dresses, tops and tunics. Animal skin prints and maxi-skirts will be one of this seasons must-haves, the straight, slashed-up the leg or 1970s’ swirl reflecting the playfulness of summertime in the clothes.
Mini-collections will be dropping in-store starting in August, beginning with the darker shades but building to a climax with bright splashes of irresistible colour. The end of the season will offer a sensational dénouement of white-on-whites, a blizzard of different white fabrics and textures.
Our favorite trends of skinny leggings and pants will be recut for warmer weather while sexy beach cover-ups will play a dual role as casual cocktail wear.
Deborah Caldwell, Storm’s founder and general manager says that Storm is an affordable boutique label for women who value their individuality but not at any price. ‘Despite keeping the price point low, every one of our pieces is a limited run with no mass production. Just a few of each style are available in Storm’s eight retail stores and from our new website.’
