Nokia
There have been flash mobs and pop-up stores, but how about a pop-up concert?
Finnish cellphone company Nokia, launching its Lumia 900, had Nicki Minaj put on a 10-minute concert in Times Square in New York City on Friday evening. Some 30,000 spectators saw the event.
Minaj performed a medley of her hits, with computer-generated graphics of 60 ft waves appearing on large LED screens cascading down behind her on a building for the finalé.
The closing performance was choreographed to a remix of her song ‘Starships’, performed live by DJ–producer Doorly.
The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in North America from AT&T from April 8 for US$99·99.
