As awards’ season kicks off, Lucire has a full set of video highlights from the 2013 Golden Globes courtesy of our colleagues at ITN.
Of course, our first video features the gowns of the Hollywood set.
Anne Hathaway stood out with her white Chanel gown, while Amy Adams, Megan Fox, Sienna Miller and Hayden Panettiere also favoured nude and light tones.
On the other end of the scale, Marion Cotillard, Claire Danes, Zooey Deschanel, Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lawrence (in Christian Dior) donned red gowns.
Black, naturally, maintained a presence, thanks to Adele, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson (in Alexander McQueen), Nicole Kidman (also in Alexander McQueen), Eva Longoria (flashing a leg, Angelina Jolie-style), Julianna Margulies, Julianne Moore, and Rachel Weisz, accompanied by her husband Daniel Craig, in non-trade mark dark sunglasses.
The ceremony itself saw Tina Fey and Amy Poehler take over from former MC Ricky Gervais.
Among the award-winners tonight were Quentin Tarantino (for his screenwriting of Django Unchained), Jessica Chastain (Best Actress in a Drama for Zero Dark Thirty), Anne Hathaway (Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy), Hugh Jackman (Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy), Les Misérables (Best Picture, Musical or Comedy), and Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor, Drama, for Lincoln). Argo picked up the Best Picture Award in the Drama category, and Ben Affleck the Best Director Award. Jodie Foster, at just 50, received the Cecil B. de Mille Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
In television, Homeland was Best Drama, and scored Best Actor and Best Actress for Damian Lewis and Claire Danes. Girls won Best Comedy, with star Lena Dunham winning Best Actress in the category. Game Change won Best TV Movie or Mini-series, with Ed Harris getting Best Supporting Actor and Julianne Moore the Best Actress prize.
Former president Bill Clinton introduced Lincoln after receiving a standing ovation.
Adele, also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song (for the James Bond movie Skyfall), won her Golden Globe.
