With Chile’s rise in international fashion, Omega has opened a boutique in the capital, Santiago, with its ambassador, supermodel Cindy Crawford, its guest of honour last week.
The boutique, with a 10 m high façade, is in the Parque Arauco, one of the city’s largest shopping centres.
Omega hosted an event at the Santiago Museum of Contemporary Art’s Quinta Normal Park site, with a dance display and a showing of offerings from its Constellation range.
‘Our expansion in this dynamic region reflects the growing enthusiasm for luxury products in the Chilean market and shows that Omega’s sophisticated timepieces, innovative watchmaking and quality products resonate with Chileans,’ says Raynald Aeschlimann, Omega’s Vice President and International Director of Sales, Retail and Distribution.
A later dinner also saw Crawford attend and give a speech about her involvement with Omega, which dates back to 1995. She also mentioned her involvement in the design of the earlier Constellation models.
She wore the Constellation Quarter Moon, which débuted at the event. The watch features an 18 ct red gold case and an 18 ct red gold dial, accented with pearled white mother-of-pearl and 126 single-cut diamonds arranged in the shape of quarter moons. The bezel is paved with 32 full-cut diamonds, while the bracelet is also made of 18 ct red gold. It comes with a four-year warranty.
Aeschlimann says, ‘Cindy has been promoting our products longer than any other of Omega’s ambassadors and she is a perfect representative for our brand. It has always been a pleasure working with her and her inspiration continues to be of great value to Omega.’
