Pininfarina expects to begin delivery of its electric hypercar, with 1,900 PS on tap, in 2025

Automobili Pininfarina has announced the B95, a pure-electric hypercar in a barchetta format, priced at €4·4 million and limited to 10 examples.

The B95 name is derived from Barchetta and the 95th anniversary of Pininfarina SpA, which takes place in 2025, the year the cars will begin delivery to their clients.

Its première will take place at Monterey Car Week this month. It will be shown alongside the Pura Vision design concept and the Battista Edizione Nino Farina hyper GT.

The styling is along Automobili Pininfarina’s Pura design philosophy, with ‘an elegant silhouette and dramatic proportions’.

The B95 features adjustable aero screens that take inspiration from vintage fighter planes. They can be raised and lowered by the driver as one sees fit. Bespoke helmets can also be ordered. Specification is ultimately over to the client.

Inside is a carbonfibre dashboard, upholstered in tan-sustainable luxury leather. The seats are in the same material.

The B95 is powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery with 1,900 PS at its peak (1,400 kW). The battery pack is liquid cooled and protected in a carbonfibre housing. It can handle DC fast chargers up to 270 kW, which in theory allow a 25-minute charge time from 20 to 80 per cent.

There are four electric motors, one for each wheel, and five drive modes.
