Kaia Gerber leads DKNY spring ’24 campaign

News
DKNY is back for spring, with a new logo and direction aimed at Gen Z
February 12, 2024/22.32

Kaia Gerber is the face of DKNY’s spring 2024 campaign, announced days after the original Donna Karan brand featured Gerber’s mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The campaign is meant to build on the DNA of the DKNY brand, says G-III Apparel Group executive vice-president Jeff Goldfarb. It is meant to cast DKNY as a creative, global, and accessible brand, with a sophisticated edge.

Its staples are denim, blazers, trench coats and leather jackets, targeting Generation Z consumers. The logotype has been revised.

Alasdair McLellan photographed the campaign, with styling by Alastair McKimm, hair by Anthony Turner, and make-up by Diane Kendal.

Trey Laird of Team Laird, who creative-directed, said, ‘Kaia best represents the all-American style which classic DKNY was known for, but with a new energy and spirit.’

The campaign launches on DKNY’s Instagram (@DKNY) and in print, digital, and outdoor, as well as through influencer partnerships. The collection is available at dkny.com and through select retailers.

DKNY was conceived as a diffusion line to the main Donna Karan label. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the brand.
