Travel editor Stanley Moss has released his latest edition of his long-running Global Brand Letter. This is a wonderful publication giving a round-up of the world of brands. Print-edition readers will have seen it cited, and, one month, even saw an abridged version serve as our editorial.

Stanley keeps one step ahead of global trends, so read about where he sees AI and what has been happening with it in unexpected places (such as Iran, where the mullahs are excited) and how it might play a part in fashion product development.

He looks at consumer trends, from the demise of Fruit Stripe and Levi’s latest pivot, to Americans selling guns, and a weapons’ company selling fashion. Stanley has his take on influencers and considers virtual ones—a development that must have taken place in the future as envisioned by Andrew Niccol in Simone.

There’s a section on place branding in this latest issue, and Stanley concludes it with his trade-mark glossary of new words and ‘What Is a Brand?’.

Don’t expect a difficult-to-wade-through read. The Letter is a succinct 10 pp. including cover, and you’ll wonder how you ever handled navigating the marketing and branding worlds without this quick jaunt around the world. You can subscribe to it, too, by emailing Stanley via [email protected]. Download it now for free at www.diganzi.com/docs/2024GlobalBrandLetterJanuaryEdition.pdf.
