Protest Sportswear has shown its spring–summer 2024 collections, inspired by the theme of the oriental bazaar, and relaxed days at the beach.
For women, florals, weaving, embroidery, block printing, kantha quilts, oriental ikats, cargo pants, a long cargo skirt and hats feature in the collection, along with shades of warm red and pink, blue, green, and an earthy beige. The swimwear range features tie-dye prints, Lurex stripes, terry towel, and Aztec prints. There’s a ’70s vibe at play, executed well and on-trend for the demands of 2024.
Protest says the outfits are comfortable, and transition from day to night, with coordinated matching sets.
The collection’s relaxed vibe with the optimistic base colours hints at Protest’s sustainable approach, while they also help lift one’s spirits amidst news of international crises.
Menswear is similarly laid-back with a seaside theme, with Aztec prints and block printing among its offerings. The children’s line is colourful and vibrant.
Protest says it has increased the number of items in its PVRE Green series, including its swimwear, which has some designs made from recycled polyester. BCI-certified cotton and Tencel are also used.
