Jelenew, the women’s cycling wear brand, has announced two new ambassadors, model and actress Vanesa Lorenzo, and Flemish politician Katia della Faille de Leverghem, formally the Comtesse Thierry de Limburg Stirum.
Spanish model Lorenzo has graced the pages of international magazines; she is also a yoga practitioner and author, and in footballing circles known for her relationship with former FC Barcelona captain Carles Puyol. Della Faille, meanwhile, is a former model and journalist, and currently a politician, and counts cycling as her most important leisure activity.
Both wish to encourage women to look at cycling, with della Faille believing that the stereotypes around pink need to be shattered, and that the colour should embody resilience and bravery.
