Good Life, the 2021 multi-award-winning independent film from South Africa, is set for a remake starring Lucy Hale, with original director Bonnie Rodini back to helm the new version.
Angel Oak Films made the announcement today at the Festival de Cannes, with a $10 million budget set for the film, and the action transplanted from Greece to Italy.
Pascal Borno and Alain Gillissen of Angel Oak Films and Silvio Muraglia of Paradox Studios produce. Borno noted that Hale was Angel Oak’s first choice for the lead role of Olive for the remake.
Hale, best known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, recently starred in Hulu’s Which Brings Me to You and the romantic comedy Puppy Love.
Production commences September in Italy.
