Some movie news from London, rather than Cannes: Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz are promoting their new film, Pirates of the Caribbean: on Stranger Tides, the fourth in the Disney series.
Gone are Keira Knightley, who had had enough of a series that dominated her life from 17 to 22, and co-star Orlando Bloom, their characters married off.
In their place are Cruz and Lovejoy himself, Ian McShane.
In preparing for her role, Cruz tells ITN that she observed liars as she says she is not a very good liar herself.
‘There are pirates around everywhere. They might have a suit and a tie, but they are out there,’ she says.
In addition, McFly joined the stars on the red carpet.
