Ultimo does not seem to be having much luck with its spokeswomen, as news emerges that Kelly Brook, signed only a few months ago, will part ways with the company.
A report in Marketing indicates that Brook proposed that she would pose for Playboy and appear topless in Loaded, which would place her in breach with her agreement with Ultimo.
The Playboy deal is reportedly worth £345,000.
Brook’s representative, Jonathan Shalit, informed Lucire directly that Marketing’s story falls short of the facts.
‘Kelly and Ultimo agreed to part company over a month ago before Playboy was even mentioned,’ says Shalit. ‘Kelly has not breached any clause in her current contract by agreeing to pose nude for Playboy magazine. There is no reference to nudity at all in the contract.’
The Ultimo contract does not cover Brook’s activity in the US, he says, and he disputes the amount of the deal.
Additionally, he says the Loaded images were shot by David Bailey five years ago and that they were bought by IPC without permission.
Earlier this year, Ultimo terminated its contract with Peaches Geldof, after nude photographs of her emerged on the internet.
