Men’s magazine Esquire was relaunched last night for the UK market at Sketch in London, with celebrities including Lily Allen, Jaime Winstone, Abbey Clancy, Jack Whitehall, Marina Diamandis, Margo Stilley, Will Young, Tali Lennox, Jameela Jamil, Jessica Lowndes and Ozwald Boateng.
According to ITN, the main topic of conversation was Cheryl Cole’s X Factor US contract, though we have to wonder if most of the fascination with that topic was not from the media themselves. There is, in the UK, such a thing as the Cheryl economy, without which some paparazzi and media outlets would make far less money.
Meanwhile, Pop Idol winner Young did speak about his new album to ITN. He says he has finished recording material for his new album but that he’s not sure what his sound is.
