As predicted, Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell have tied the knot in a registry office at the Marylebone Town Hall, where the former Beatle wed his first wife, Linda Eastman.
Reports indicate that there were between a dozen and thirty guests, and it is believed that Shevell’s wedding dress had been designed by Sir Paul’s daughter, Stella McCartney.
Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach were among the dozen, as were Sir Paul’s five children.
A reception took place at Sir Paul’s home in St John’s Wood, with the groom expected to have performed a newly penned song for his bride. The reception featured a three-course organic vegetarian meal. Some reports indicate that Sir Paul’s first wife, Linda, was acknowledged at the reception.
Sir Paul and Nancy Shevell were engaged in May 2011. Coincidentally, the wedding day fell on what would have been former Beatle John Lennon’s 71st birthday.
