Endemol UK will launch a website, Superscrimpers.com, to tie in with the Channel 4 show launched in 2011.
The show, with economizing tips, lends itself well to a web resource. The site promises fashion tips alongside those for food, gifts, gardening, lifestyle and travel.
Endemol and Channel 4 say a pool of experts will write content for the site, which will include tips from ‘super-scrimping supremo Mrs Moneypenny and product comparisons from top consumer journalist Harry Wallop.’
They say the website will be ‘personal, positive, persuasive and passionate.’
It will be complemented by a Facebook page and a Twitter account.
To tie in with the website launch, Channel 4 will air a one-hour festive special in December, with tips on having a frugal Christmas.
