A Lucire update: from Vivienne Westwood to our favourite coats

NEWS

For our RSS readers, there are a few features on the main part of our site that you will want to pop by and see.
Jobs.co.nz‘s winner, Kate Goodbehere, who won a prize to be Lucire’s fashion editor for a day, has penned her article—a top 10 on coats, supervised by fashion editor Sopheak Seng. It contains our favourites for the New Zealand market.
Following from London Fashion Week was a smaller event, Oxford Fashion Week, where our long-time photographer Doug Rimington headed. The designers’ names might not be as familiar, but innovation certainly has not deserted them.
Lola Saab looks at Vivienne Westwood’s career through the 1980s at an exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Elyse Glickman heads to Staples Center to check out Distinctive Assets’ Grammy Awards’ suites.
Meanwhile, the Google News bot seems to have missed out on a few articles that we thought were pretty good: Léona d’Huy’s Jean-Charles de Castelbajac catwalk report (and wonderful photos from Valentino’s château outside Paris); Jack Yan’s story from the BMW 650i Cabriolet launch; and our Madrid Fitting Room story. Which goes to underline that there might be some utility to joining our Facebook fan page, where links usually appear sooner than Google gets them.
On that note, our US readers receive a temptation beyond the La Prairie Midnight Rain fragrance we already have in our draw: a copy of Dr Paul Friedman’s Beautiful Skin Revealed, with a value of US$59·95. Join up to the Facebook page and one of you can receive this lovely gift.
