Duchess of Cambridge wears Reiss to Epsom Derby Day

News

June 7, 2011/6.07

The British Royal Family attended Derby Day at the Epsom Derby on Saturday, with HRH the Duchess of Cambridge wearing an off-white Reiss Peacock chiffon dress and a Joseph tweed jacket. Completing her ensemble were a Whiteley hat, nude L. K. Bennett pumps and a diamante-encrusted clutch bag.
The appearance of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Derby Day is an “unofficial” one, with their first official engagement on Thursday at a charity event.
The charity event is a gala dinner for children’s charity Absolute Return for Kids (ARK), with guests forking out £10,000 each to attend. HRH Prince William will speak at the dinner.
Nine hundred guests are expected to be at the pre-dinner reception at Kensington Palace.
The following weekend, the Royal Family has Trooping the Colour, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh’s 90th birthday celebration, polo and the Garter Ceremony.
The Cambridges’ Canadian and US tour will take place between June 30 and July 10, beginning in Ottawa and Gatineau.
ITN also caught HM the Queen and HRH Princess Beatrice in its tongue-in-cheek segment below.
