Boucheron’s haute joaillerie, Mister’s womenswear, and travel to Israel

July 21, 2011/12.24

The news section hasn’t been updated for a day since, at least in our world, it’s been a bit quiet for news. We made a call that Lucire readers don’t want to know the winner of The Apprentice UK (or Lord Sugar talking about ‘elf and safety’) or what Jennifer Aniston has to say about Horrible Bosses that she hasn’t said before on these pages. However, the features have kept on coming.
As part of our ongoing couture coverage, Paris editor Lola Saab has looked at Boucheron’s latest collection, Dolce Riviera, at its newly refurbished flagship store on the place Vendôme. She has also talked to Nick Foulkes about Van Cleef & Arpels’ latest jewellery collection, while Vicki Matias has taken a look at the Chanel haute couture show.
As we saw with Yuka Murai’s Japan Fashion Week article, earthquakes shake us physically, but they strengthen us spiritually. Sopheak Seng has a review on Mister’s spring–summer 2011–12 collection, which includes Mickey Lin and Ra Thomson’s first foray into womenswear.
Elyse Glickman travels to Israel and puts the politics aside: the country is a jewel when it comes to restaurants, art, history and fashion.
