Barbie manufacturer Mattel has released doll versions of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, in their Royal Wedding outfits, to commemorate their first anniversary on April 29.
The toy Prince William is in his Irish Guards’ uniform, while Kate Middleton is in a fairly convincing replica of her Sarah Burton-designed wedding dress.
Typical of limited-edition Barbies from the same company, the Duchess’s miniature delights in details, with tiara, engagement ring and bouquet.
The boxed set is available for US$100, though it is selling on Amazon for a premium over the retail price. Mattel says that it is targeting collectors with this latest offering, which is officially part of its Barbie Collector series.
