After being named winner of the 2009 New Zealand National Drawing Awards, John Ward Knox will be exhibiting his new work Gains on Losses at Enjoy Gallery in Wellington from April 23 to May 16.
On display for the public eye will be an elegant group of new work by the artist, which will expand on notions of an object’s singularity of experience, exploring and elucidating the concept of symbiotic interaction.
John Ward Knox holds a MFA from Elam School of Fine Arts, and is a founding member and co-director of Newcall Gallery. He has exhibited extensively in Auckland, and more recently throughout New Zealand; including in the Govett-Brewster’s Open Window Series in 2008.
The opening party for the exhibition will be held on April 22 at 6 p.m., preceded by an artist’s talk at 5.15 p.m. You can find Enjoy Gallery at Level 1/147 Cuba Street, or, for more information visit www.enjoy.org.nz
