Our friends at E! Entertainment Television—with whom we’ve had a long connection through some of its hosts—are running a promotion called E! Live from the Red Carpet.
E! is promoting its Life from the Red Carpet brand, and has created Iphone, Ipod and Ipad apps for getting news from the Emmys, Grammys and Oscars to its audiences.
It is also trying to reach netizens on Facebook, creating a fun app to get audiences involved even more.
The Facebook app essentially uses your data and gives you a glimpse of what it might be like to be a red-carpet celebrity heading off to one of the big awards’ nights in the US.
Click on the video above to experience the app.
Meanwhile, another of our good friends, David C. Lee of Destination Luxury, has shot a new video showcasing Jane Oh’s autumn–winter 2011–12 collection at Royal/T in Culver City.
The Los Angeles-based fashion designer trained at USC and Parsons, and worked at Marc Jacobs and a Michael Kors licensee. Her own collection takes inspiration from Balenciaga.
The autumn–winter 2011–12 collection has a classic, understated style—Oh has a keen eye and the label has some must-haves for every woman.
Finally, Paul Blomfield’s team sent us this social pic which features our much-respected colleague Dan Ahwa (on the right), alongside Kelly Watson and Kirsha Whitcher from Salasai.
They were at an event to kick off Urbis’s Designday, in association with Mini Countryman.
The event, to take place in Auckland, New Zealand, on March 19, brings together showrooms and innovative design from multimedia, architecture, graphic arts, furniture, landscape and fashion disciplines.
Around 50 creative individuals, designers or artists will play a part in this year’s Designday, say the organizers.
