McLaren has released images showing more of its remarkable MP4-12C sports car, this time with former Formula 1 driver John Watson.
Watson raced for McLaren and was the 1981 British Grand Prix winner, driving the MP4/1.
He was invited to Silverstone to drive the new MP4-12C, a sports car that takes McLaren’s expertise in racing cars and brings them to the road.
The MP4-12C is the first car to feature a one-piece hollow carbon chassis structure called the MonoCell, which is particularly strong and light. The engine develops 600 PS, and the handling is claimed to be exceptional.
Below are a video featuring racing driver Jensen Button testing the McLaren MP4-12C at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal, in January, and a second one showing the performance of the vehicle.
