David Gandy is Red Nose Day’s new fashion ambassador, raising money for Comic Relief.
   Gandy tells ITN that he has a number of initiatives planned under the banner of Blue Steel Appeal, referencing the male modelling movie Zoolander. The first is called ‘Blue Steel Looks’, where people, presumably celebrities, are asked to pose for charity.
   The second is an auction in association with Ebay, featuring what Gandy calls ‘money can’t buy prizes [and] objects.’ Gandy says typically he will do something with himself, such as ‘dinners with myself or lunches’. Others will be providing items. The auction will be held on March 7.
   Gandy’s last dinner date was a novelist from Texas, with whom he remains in touch, he says.
   It is not Gandy’s first contact with the charity. Gandy appeared last year in an Absolutely Fabulous sketch for Sport Relief, alongside Emma Bunton, Kate Moss, Stella McCartney, Linford Christie, David Haye and Colin Jackson.
   Red Nose Day takes place on March 15.
