In mid-July, Adidas by Stella McCartney will release their newest autumn–winter collection, celebrating Adidas and Stella McCartney’s ten years together.
Adidas has always been known for its innovation in sportswear, everyday wear and collaborations, but its biggest success is with Stella McCartney. McCartney started her clothing line in 2001 with her first fashion show in Paris, known for her tailored, confident air. It seemed only logical that Adidas would begin a collaboration with her four years later.
McCartney has also broadened her horizons to providing her customers with kids’ wear, ready-to-wear, a perfume line and a sunglasses’ collection. She does not use any fur or leather in her collections. McCartney’s aim with this current collection is for women to be able to work out wearing her designs, and for them to be worn all day.
‘Over time women have become more and more focused on their fitness goals and are spending more time in workout clothes. This makes it even more important to provide function and style, which challenges us to be continuously innovative in our approach,’ said McCartney.
With unique textures and layering options, this collection is sure to have something for everyone, from a more casual T-shirt to a compression onesie. Like Adidas by Stella McCartney’s other collections, it caters to many different types of exercise. The collection mostly comes in browns, blues, burgundy and pops of grey or yellow, and seems to be able to suit everyone. It has expanded to shoes, bags and yoga mats, so we can look forward to some burgundy snow boots and tote bags.
The collection will be available mid-July at all Adidas stores and online.—Fenella Clarke
